Amsterdam - Day 2

Having got up, showered and had some breakfast we headed out into the sunny Amsterdam streets.  It is such a quiet and relaxed city that all the stresses and strains of work seem to be fading away.

The plan for today was to visit the Heineken brewery and hire bikes to cycle around the city.  We also went out for a walk around the Red Light District too.

We seemed to spend the majority of the morning on our bikes just having some fun whilst taking in the sights of Dam Square et al.

In the afternoon we went to the Heineken brewery and took in all the purification, fermenting and bottling processes two blokes can take!  Whilst having some complementary beers, Heineken of course, we started talking to some American girls.  One of them looked the spitting image of Claire.  We showed her a photo of Claire and she agreed that they did look almost identical and said cheekily “she sure is a hottie!”

Having finished in the brewery, and having skilfully avoided the advances of two Spanish girls, we went to take our bikes back to the Mac Bike garage.

After tea we decided to go to bed early as we had every intention of cramming a lot into tomorrow so we’d need a good night’s sleep.
