This trip is planned to last three weeks beginning in either September or October 2008.

The plan is to fly to either Granada or Sevilla from Liverpool, catch the ferry to Tangier...and then it gets a bit hazy after that!  This will be a classic backpacking trip with a suitably flexible itinery.  If possible we would like to continue travelling south through Morroco, into Western Sahara and then on to Mauritania.  The main attraction for this trip is catching a ride on the world's longest train through the desert and travelling in 4x4s across the dunes the Mauritania's capital Nouakchott.  If we make it back our travel diary will be posted on this site.
