This trip is going to be our most challenging yet!  Whilst travelling around New Zealand and South Korea in October 2006 a plan formed in which we would make the trip from Cape of Good Hope in South Africa to Cape Horn (or as close to it as we can get) in southern Chile and Argentina.  Although flights would be required at some stages the intention is to cover as much land as possible along the way, which is why the route above has been chosen.

To make things interesting we are also looking at limiting oursleves to only being allowed to take with us a maximum of 15KGs of equipment.  This equates to the amount you would normally take as hand luggage on an ordinary flight!

The expedition is due to take roughly six months.  Because of the costs involved it is not yet known when this will take place although the travel diary will appear on this site as soon as possible.
