As a Liverpool fan who has travelled abroad before (to the UEFA Cup Final in 2001) I was not going to pass up the opportunity to go to Barcelona.  The city is well known for Gaudi's architecture and the dramatic cable car ride over Port Vell.  Of course, football plays a huge part in the Catalan way of life and seeing Liverpool play in front of a sell out 98,000 fans was a tremendous experience.
